Fall is our favorite time of the year in the Lowcountry because the weather is warm but not too hot and a lot of the crowds have left after summer vacation. It’s that perfect medium where you will still have days warm enough for the beach but you also won’t be losing your temper in the Starbucks line.
There are also a TON of festivals and concerts. These two factors create a perfect storm, making it the ideal time to rent a party bus in Charleston! Hence our list of the top 10 best Fall activities for a Charleston party bus:
Lowcountry Jazz Festival
There’s no better way to kick off September than taking a party bus to South Carolina’s premier annual Smooth Jazz event. It will take place at the Charleston Gaillard Center with an awesome Labor Day lineup. Headliners include Marcus Miller and Norman Brown on Saturday and Sunday night, respectively. There is also a White Party on Friday night with Marquel Jordan and Lindsey Webster.
Restaurant Week
Charleston is home to one of the best food scenes in the country and Restaurant Week allows diners to try premier restaurants at a discount. Dozens of restaurants offer prix fixe lunch and dinner menus that exemplify lowcountry cuisine.
We recommend having a Charleston party bus take you to dinner and then to one of Charleston’s many rooftop bars for an after dinner cocktail. From there, your chauffeur can take you to Trio nightclub so you can really get the party started!
Concert at the Refinery
Charleston’s newest outdoor auditorium just hosted their opening weekend on August 13th and it left the crowd hungry for more. The Refinery is a newly built downtown complex composed of retail, office and The Whale: A Craft Beer Collective. While they have yet to confirm their Fall calendar, they plan on hosting 15 – 20 national tours a year and should be a great new addition to Charleston’s expanding live music scene.
Oktoberfest
It’s difficult to make a list of any city’s Fall calendar without including Oktoberfest and Charleston is no different! The beer drinking festival will take place all day on October 8th and is guaranteed to be a good time filled with German eats, lederhosen and music of the Hans Schmidt German Band.
Golf Tournament
Charleston lends itself to Fall golf perhaps more than any other place in the United States. Sublime, temperate weather along with plenty of the country’s top public courses provide ample opportunities for hitting the links. But why just hit the links when you can organize a friendly golf tournament with all of your friends. Whether you’re visiting for a Charleston bachelor party or are a Lowcountry local, golf tournaments are always a blast. They’re even more fun when you book a party bus for your group’s golf transportation.
Luke Combs
While there are dozens, if not hundreds of great concerts in Charleston this Fall, we felt the need to isolate this one from the rest. Luke Combs at the North Charleston Coliseum will be the show of the Fall, if not the entire year. Demand is so high that he is playing both on Friday, October 14th and Saturday, October 15th.
However, everyone who’s been to the Coliseum knows how difficult it is to leave after a big concert. That’s why your best option is to book a party bus in Charleston, SC and head over there in style!
Third Thursday
On the third Thursday of every month Historic Downtown Summerville turns into a unique marketplace showcasing local entertainment, vendors and artisans. Also, most of the nearby shops and restaurants extend their hours as well. The themes for this Fall include Sweet Tea, Happy Halloween and Hero Recognition.
Mimosa Festival
UNLIMITED MIMOSAS!!!
Did we get your attention? Because the annual Charleston Mimosa Festival does not mess around. For $45 you get 4 hours of unlimited drinks along with a souvenir cup and live entertainment. It takes place at the Citadel on Saturday, October 15th.Â
Cast Off Fishing Tournament
Some people might say taking a party bus to a local fishing tournament is a little excessive. Well we aren’t those people and we hope you aren’t either! Mount Pleasant hosts this tournament four times a year and the two remaining are September 3rd and October 15th. It’s open to all ages but we recommend everyone who rides our party bus there to be 21 and over.
Follypalooza
One of Charleston’s biggest street parties, Follypalooza is always guaranteed to be a good time. And even better, the money goes to local cancer patients! It takes place on October 20th this year and will include live music, activities for kids, great local cuisine and a silent auction.

We hope this list helped convince you that there are ample occasions to book a party bus in Charleston, SC!
Whether you love live music, arts and culture or outdoor activities, there is always a reason to start the party in Charleston.Â
