Our First 6 Months in Charleston

We are wrapping up our first six months in Charleston and have learned a lot, both about the City and the people that party in it. By the end of March we’ll have operated close to 70 rides in Charleston and can’t wait to run more. These rides have consisted of Charleston wedding transportation, bachelor(ette) parties, bar crawls, concert transportation, sweet sixteens, quinceaneras, proms and more. Our riders have been tourists and locals alike.

Favorite Stops

We’ve been all over the Lowcountry these last 6 months and love to discover new spots every week! However, there are some constant favorites that we go to on a regular basis. Our most popular destination is King Street and all of the drinking establishments on it. Some of our favorites include Uptown Social, Cocktail Club and Prohibition. We also love to take people down to Folly Beach and up to Sullivan’s Island. It’s also always fun to drive people to Wild Dunes for a round of golf in the morning!

Most Common Pick Ups

Our most common pick up is hands down Kiawah Island. We also pick plenty of bachelorettes up in Folly Beach and Isle of Palms. Sometimes it’s the reverse and we pick people up on the Peninsula to bring them golfing on Kiawah or Isle of Palms. We’ve also started picking up a lot of prom passengers on Mt. Pleasant and Daniel Island.

Longest/Shortest Ride

Our rides have averaged out at 4.5 hours these last 6 months and range anywhere from 15 minutes to 12 hours. The longest we’ve driven is to Savannah, Georgia and back. We highly recommend this route if you’ve never been! Our shortest ride has been under 10 minutes. That was a quick one!

Weather

Charleston has phenomenal weather most of the time and we’re loving it! It’s a lot easier than our Jackson Hole transportation that has blizzard conditions for 4 months of the year. However, the wind in Charleston can get a little nasty which makes us nervous when we’re driving over the Arthur Ravenal Jr. Bridge. We also still haven’t been here for a full storm season, so we’ll let you know how that goes!

Locals

We love our Charlestonians! They are always polite and know how to have a lot of fun. We see a surge in local business during the winter months when tourism dies down and locals want to come out and enjoy the tourist attractions. We also get a lot of local teens booking out our buses for school dances.

Tourists

The tourism industry fuels Charleston and is a big reason why there are so many great restaurants and drinking establishments. A large percentage of our customers are tourists and we love showing them around the Holy City. Our customers come from all over the country but most of them are Southerners.

The Future

After 6 months in Charleston, our future looks brighter than ever in the Lowcountry. We just brought down another party bus in Charleston, SC and can’t wait to see all of the good times it will bring. We are hoping to bring down another party bus this Fall with a different passenger capacity (either 14 or 30). So let us know which you would prefer!

Conclusion

Charleston keeps growing as does its phenomenal party scene. We consider it a privilege to be part of this and want to keep the good times rolling. Right now that is through our Charleston party bus and our Brewery Tour of Charleston. We hope to increase our range of services for whatever locals and tourists are craving. If you’ve got any ideas, give us a call!
